1. Is the Bluetooth channel between the handheld and ShowMate encrypted?
2. Can presentations be retrieved from the ShowMate?
3. Is the Impatica Viewer a signed midlet?
4. What application permissions (read/write/local connectivity/sms read/write) are required?
5. Your installation instructions indicate the following: "Once the application is installed on your handheld, navigate to it, click the More button to open the Applications menu then choose Permissions. Ensure the permissions for Read User Data and Write User Data are set to Never ask". This is not an option for me as the only options available are 'No' and 'Always Ask'. How should I proceed?

No, there is currently no way to extract presentations from the ShowMate.
3. Is the Impatica Viewer a signed midlet?
Yes, the Impatica Viewer is signed with a Thawte Digital Java Code Signing Certificate.
4. What application permissions (read/write/local connectivity/sms read/write) are required?
Read/write permission is required to access converted files on the phone memory or memory stick. Recommended setting is Never Ask for each read and write permissions.

Local connectivity is required to create Bluetooth connections to the ShowMate. Recommended setting is Never Ask.
SMS read/write is required to implement the Push Registry requirements defined for Java Verified process. Recommended setting is Never Ask.
Some service providers do not allow the ability to set application permissions to Never Ask. In response to this situation we have created a Hotsite (beta) build of the Impatica Viewer for Sony Ericsson devices (v1.0.3a) that will allow you to set these permissions at runtime. Please email Impatica Support to obtain access to this build: support@impatica.com
