Is the Windows version of Impatica OnCue compatible with the new Apple QuickTime 7 release? Yes, it is, but a simple workaround is required in order for QuickTime 7 to work with Impatica OnCue. Impatica is working to quickly overcome compatibility issues introduced by the latest version of QuickTime. In the interim, please perform the following steps:
- Download and install QuickTime 7. The standalone installer may be found here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/.
- Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem.
- Inside this folder, copy the file "QTJava.zip".
- Navigate to the following folder - C:\Program Files\Impatica OnCue 3.3.3\lib\ext.
- Paste the "QTJava.zip" file in this folder. You should get a warning asking if you want to replace the file. Click Yes.
After completing the above steps, you have all the necessary components installed and are now ready to launch Impatica OnCue.

The PowerPoint portion of my OnCue show is too large. How do I make it fit within my template?
OnCue presentations are housed within an OnCue template. Each template has specific dimensions that are required for the PowerPoint portion of the show.
If you have not adjusted the slide dimensions in Microsoft PowerPoint before impaticizing then your slide will be too large for the template.
To resize the slides within a PowerPoint file, open the PowerPoint file in Microsoft PowerPoint. Once the file is open, select the File menu followed by Page Setup. Within the Page Setup settings, adjust the height and width properties to match those that were provided with your Impatica OnCue template. The slide dimensions for the evaluation template are 6.30" W x 4.72"H.

The video in my OnCue presentation is too large. Why is this happening?
OnCue presentations are housed within an OnCue template. Each template has specific dimensions that are required for the video portion of the show.
The evaluation template requires a video frame size of 160 pixels wide X 120 pixels high. To use your video within an OnCue full presentation, you will have to adjust the frame size of the video to match the space allotted for the video within your OnCue template.

4.
When I try to impaticize my OnCue presentation I get an FOP error. What causes this to occur?
You need to have the same version number of Impatica for PowerPoint as you do for OnCue. This error is produced when an incorrect version of Impatica for PowerPoint is used to create the Impatica Presentation asset (the compressed PowerPoint) presently selected in the OnCue project being impaticized. The solution is to convert your PowerPoint file again using the same version of Impatica for PowerPoint that you are currently using of OnCue. The most recent versions are 3.3.3.
5.
I am upgrading from an earlier version of OnCue and my registration code doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
With this version of OnCue, the license code mechanism has changed. You will need a new version 3 registration code. If you are entitled to a free upgrade under the terms of your Support and Maintenance agreement, you should have received a new code by e-mail from Impatica. If you did not receive this e-mail or if you would like to purchase an upgrade, please contact Impatica at (800) 548-3475 or by e-mail at sales@impatica.com.

When I try to add my video file asset to OnCue I get an error stating that a required component of QuickTime is missing from my computer. I have installed QuickTime so why is this happening?
When installing QuickTime you must do a Custom installation and then Select All components. Impatica OnCue uses components that are not installed by either the minimum or recommended installations.
The QuickTime 6.5.2 full installer for Windows is available from the following link:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/quicktime652forwindows.html
- Click on the 23MB button. Click Save and choose a save location.
- Once it is downloaded open the QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe file.
- You will be presented with a QuickTime welcome screen.
- Click Next until you reach the Software License Agreement. Review it and click Agree.
- Choose a destination directory, and then click Next until you reach the Choose Installation Type screen. Select the CUSTOM radio button, and then click Next.
- Use the Select All button to install all components. (There will be a checkmark next to each component currently selected.)
- Click Next and then Finish to complete the installation.
After completing the above steps, you have all the necessary software installed and are now ready to launch Impatica OnCue.
Note: You may use QuickTime 7 with Impatica OnCue but you must perform the workaround described here http://www.impatica.com/support/faq-oncue.html#1
