I have an Intel-based Mac. Will Impatica for PowerPoint Mac OS X edition run on this platform?
Impatica for PowerPoint v 3.0.0 will not run on Intel-based Macs but there is a pre-release version that will function properly.
Due to the way the current release of Impatica for PowerPoint is packaged, it invokes an older version of Java that relies on the Rosetta emulation layer (translates PowerPC into Intel code on the fly) built into the Intel version of Mac OS X.
We do have a pre-release version that is not yet fully tested. This build has worked fine for us. If you are willing to bear with some oddities in the user interface until we release a fully tested version that properly supports Intel-based Macs we can pass this temporary pre-release build along to you.
Please contact Impatica Customer Support to receive this version of the software: support@impatica.com or 1-800-548-3475 x: 238.
Keep in mind that it is pre-release software and we will make the final version available as soon as it is released.
