Please refer to the online User's Manual on our Web site for additional details: http://www.impatica.com/support/guides/ New Features ============ - Support for Office 2007 PowerPoint files. - Playback is now scalable and will consume the entire area provided to the applet. There is also a button on the console to allow the presentation to be viewed in "full screen" mode. - Support of multicolor, multi-stop gradient fills (Office 2007 files only). - Enhanced logging to help diagnose any problems that may have occurred during conversion (Office 2007 files only). - New graphics and color scheme for user interface. - This is the first release of the Impatica for PowerPoint that is compatible with Mac OS X and contains support for the different mobile playback devices. - This is the first official build of Impatica for PowerPoint that supports the Intel based Mac OS X hardware. Known Issues ============ - This version requires Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) in order to run. Users with an older version of the OS will be shown a generic error message stating that the software requires a newer version of Java. However, Apple only supports the required Virtual Machine on version 10.4 of the OS. - There is an issue projecting on an Impatica ShowMate via USB from T-Mobile Pearl (8100) handhelds with BlackBerry OS v4.2.0.42. There is currently no workaround. - There are some problems with the Print functionality during playback. It seems to work in some cases but not others. At this time there is no work around. - There are compatibility problems when upgrading a PowerPoint 2003 file to PowerPoint 2007 and vice versa. Some problems have easy work arounds. Some do not. Please contact Customer support for specific cases. (support@impatica.com) - In some cases when using a PowerPoint 2007 file, objects that are grouped have issues converting. Results may mean that shapes do not appear, or text is mis-aligned on shape, etc. Ungrouping the object usually results in a more accurate conversion. - There have been issues when multiple videos are used within a presentation and using the full screen playback mode. Problem presents itself by not allowing subsequent videos in the presentation to play after the first video has completed. Workaround is to not view in full screen mode. - There have been rare cases where inserting a very large (much larger than the slide itself) PNG image in the presentation causes the software to hang. Workaround is to resize the image to the desired size using image manipulating software and reinsert the newly sized image. - Links within a PowerPoint 2007 presentation can be incorrect if hidden slides are used. Workaround is to convert a copy of the presentation with the hidden slides removed. - For PowerPoint 2007 files, Image bullets do not work. They will be substituted with a round circular character bullet. - WordArt type text is supported for PowerPoint 2007 files, but has limitations. WordArt effects will only be honored for single paragraphs that contain a single text run. - Shadows on text are not supported for PowerPoint 2007. - For PowerPoint 2007, animations on master slide are not supported. Workaround is to put the animations at the slide level. - Animate by paragraph (bullet) is not supported for PowerPoint 2007 files. Instead, the same animation is repeated as many times as there are paragraphs. Workaround is to split the paragraphs into multiple text boxes and animate each one individually. - For some entrance animations on some shapes for PowerPoint 2007 files only, the shape will appear on the slide, then disappear and perform the entrance animation. Enhanced support for PowerPoint 2007 will be included in a future release.
