MEDIA RELEASE Senior
Management User Conference New York, NY - November 10, 2003 - Impatica Inc., of Ottawa, Ontario, a leading provider of software tools that enable Internet delivery of PowerPoint presentations, held its inaugural User Conference in New York City to provide an open forum for clients to discuss specific strategies and initiatives for using Impatica products. Current Impatica customers with senior management responsibilities for the evaluation and deployment of corporate based learning programs attended the conference. "These small, intimate meetings enable our clients to learn from each other and share specific business and technical challenges," said the company's Chief Executive Officer Michael Doyle. "For users, by users was the theme of this session." To ensure customer-driven focus, the meeting was chaired by Murry Christensen, the e-learning Vice President for a global investment bank and an Impatica client for one year. "It is important for emerging technology companies to establish a tight feedback loop with their clients in order to quickly produce market-driven enhancements and develop relationships among peers and colleagues who use the application," said Mr. Christensen. "Given Impatica's willingness to engage its clients in these kinds of dialogues, I have a higher probability of my needs being reflected in their products." One of the missions of Mr. Christensen's firm is to improve employee performance through a thorough annual employee evaluation system. Their application of Impatica software delivered best practices in employee review writing to a global audience in both English and Japanese, resulting in savings of over $100,000 compared to previous years. Impatica products transform bulky PowerPoint presentations into an efficient streaming file format for plug-in free, low bandwidth, multi-platform delivery. With Impatica OnCue, PowerPoint presentations can be augmented with synchronized video, scrolling text, extensive navigation controls, and keyword search functions. Conference attendees learned how subject matter experts, trainers, and other business professionals are empowered to produce e-learning content directly, without relying on programmers and other technical experts. Executives from a multimedia development firm, a global financial services company, and Mr. Christensen, presented how Impatica has been utilized within their organizations, to solve problems and meet mission critical e-learning goals. "Everyone in the room made contributions to the event," Mr. Christensen noted. "In this atmosphere, it made me realize that your success is now my success. To see a specific problem solved from recognition to conclusion in a matter of minutes was extremely valuable." Victor Rodriguez, Chief Technology Officer of Imagedog Media, gave a presentation on how his firm integrates Impatica's technology into its own multimedia tool. Impatica enhances the product by broadening its functionality. "Impatica technology has been integrated into the rich media tools that we develop for our clients. These tools allow our clients to reach their audience via a browser without the use of plug-ins or other third-party software which many corporations block." Maintaining its customer focus, Impatica will hold User Conferences with senior management semiannually in the United States. On December 16, 2003, Impatica will hold its inaugural European User Conference in London, England. About Impatica Inc.
