The Company

Located in Ottawa, Canada, Impatica Inc. was incorporated in March of 1998. The company has operations in Princeton and London, England. Growing steadily, Impatica now employs approximately forty people.

Since its leading product, Impatica for PowerPoint, entered the market in April 2001 approximately 2,500 organizations including some 2,000 colleges and universities and several hundred corporations have adopted Impatica products to educate, train and communicate more effectively with hundreds of thousands of people every day.

The Products

Impatica products enable users of Microsoft PowerPoint and Macromedia Director to deliver their content plug-in free to Java-enabled computers and other devices, even at dial-up speeds.

Impatica OnCue was launched in December of 2001. This desktop tool enables production and delivery of synchronized plug-in free video and impaticized PowerPoint presentations combined with searchable text, dynamic indexing and navigation. The patented Impatica OnCue interface so revolutionizes the production process that practically anyone can produce content. Impatica OnCue won the 2003 WOLCE award for most innovative product of the year.

Impatica for PowerPoint empowers subject matter experts, educators and business professionals to create engaging online content quickly and easily. Programmers or other technical experts are not required. Online training courses and other Internet content can be deployed sooner and at reduced cost. This maximizes and accelerates the return on these time critical investments. Impatica for PowerPoint won the Brandon Hall ease of use award in 2004.

Impatica for Director simply converts Director files into a compressed format that is optimized for streaming over the Internet. The Impatica file is typically 90% smaller than the corresponding Director file. More information on Impatica for Director.

Impatica for BlackBerry Enterprise Server seamlessly converts PowerPoint files attached to e-mail messages into a format compatible with the BlackBerry, so they can be viewed on the BlackBerry handheld the way they were meant to be seen.

Impatica ShowMate is a small, lightweight hardware accessory to project PowerPoint presentations wirelessly from a handheld device. Simply attach the ShowMate to the VGA port of any projector or monitor and your handheld delivers your PowerPoint presentation wirelessly using Bluetooth technology. Impatica ShowMate won the Andrew Seybold Choice Award for "Most Innovative Wireless Device" at CTIA Wireless 2007.
